OpenCms is an open source content management system worked out by a group of developers in partnership with Gridnine Systems. It is getting more and more popular in Europe and the USA. OpenCms is Java-based and enables to develop and administrate complex websites and intranets according to the specific business requirement of every particular company.
During last few years a considerable international community of programmers have been constantly developing new features for OpenCms. Open source concept implies that source code of a product is available for any developer that wants to improve it.
Version 5.0.6. has been developed by Gridnine Systems up to international WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) standard. This standard was designed by W3C group (http://www.w3.org/WAI/) and provides a high degree of web usability for people with disabilities. From now on OpenCms based websites could be easily adapted for people with all types of physical disabilities.
Except conformity to WAI standard, version 5.0.6. contains some new features in the visual editor. You can learn more about OpenCms from http://www.opencms.se.
